Baba passed away a few days. To be in another place at this time of mourning was a pity. My family needs me but I cannot just leave work. If I leave now, I may come back empty handed. There was no choice but to grieve on my own out here in this chilly place. I know that my baba will understand. God bless his soul. Since I could not go back home, I wanted to send my love to my family especially to my father. I sent flowers to india for the wake and my mom for her grief of the loss of a partner. They loved each other much and I know that she will miss him sorely. She cried every day when I called her and she must have wanted a hug. And so I instructed the florist india to write a note that says “I will be sending you flowers while baba is away.” Just to make her feel comforted and not really left. My note was to make her smile though but it was all the way very different from what I expected. Since she is at the peak of her emotions, she cried louder than ever saying that she was really touched. She was nagging me to go home but she knew I can’t. And so she retreated when she has calmed down. As I see her on skype, she was already smiling while looking at the flowers.
